Description of Test Methodology Comparison with TPC Tests Frequently Asked Questions

Note: As the number of active users increases, the benchmark accesses larger and larger areas in the database tables. Thus at lower user counts the database activity is performed primarily in the kernel's disk buffer cache whereas at higher user counts there is substantial physical disk I/O. This is the cause of the significant drop in throughput as the user count increases.
